Report catalog

MaxTrax renders a broad set of server-side reports covering welds, ISOs, inspections and NDE, welders and qualification, test packages, data quality, and audit history. This page is the reference for what each report contains and what file you get (a PDF document or an Excel .xlsx workbook).

  • Generate on demand and download. You trigger a report from a MaxTrax screen; it renders on the server and, when it’s ready, MaxTrax notifies you with a download link. Per-record artifacts — a single weld or ISO detail PDF and ISO QR labels — are generated instantly on your device instead. See Generate reports and printable labels.
  • Schedule an emailed report. A Project Administrator (or higher) can schedule a report to render and email to a list of recipients on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence, with per-recipient delivery tracking. See Scheduled reports.
  • Power BI live views. For open-ended analysis, connect Power BI to your project’s purpose-built reporting views instead of a fixed file. See Connect Power BI.

The Report key column is the identifier you enter when scheduling a report — it names the report to MaxTrax. Format is the file you receive: PDF (a fixed-layout document) or Excel (an .xlsx workbook). Most reports are scoped to one project; some also take parameters (for example a date range or a grouping choice).

Weld Effort by Diameter weld-effort-by-diameter Total and completed weld effort (a wall-weighted weld-metal index), diameter inches (total NPS), completion rate, and weld counts for a project, grouped by pipe diameter. PDF
Weld Effort by Inspection Class weld-effort-by-inspection-class The same weld-effort, diameter-inch, completion-rate, and count rollup, grouped by inspection class. A weld with no class of its own is counted under its ISO drawing’s class; only welds whose drawing has no class either (or whose class no longer exists) fall into “(none)”, which appears once, as the last group just above the totals. PDF
Weld Effort by Weld Type weld-effort-by-weld-type The same weld-effort, diameter-inch, completion-rate, and count rollup, grouped by weld type. Welds with no weld type are grouped once, as a “(none)” group just above the totals. PDF
ISO Listing iso-listing Every isometric (ISO) drawing in a project. Excel
Tracer Status tracer-status Tracer status for a project’s welds. Excel
Tracer Pending Assignment tracer-pending-assignment Welds pending tracer assignment. Excel

Summary, audit, and data-dictionary reports

Section titled “Summary, audit, and data-dictionary reports”
Report Report key What it contains Format
Executive Summary executive-summary A multi-sheet project roll-up — weld types, inspection types, welders, and overall welders. Excel
Failure Analysis failure-analysis Pass/fail inspection outcomes for a project, aggregated by defect and welding process. Excel
Data Dictionary data-dictionary Project weld rows exported for a chosen dimension — a data-dictionary style reference export. Excel
Audit Log audit-log The project’s audit-log entries (who changed what and when), optionally limited to a date range. Excel

The Data Dictionary report exports the project’s weld rows against one dimension you pick in the report’s Dictionary list before you run it. There are eleven to choose from:

Dimension What each row is grouped against
Line service The ISO’s line service. This is the default.
Material code The material on the weld’s inspection class.
Insulation type The ISO’s insulation type.
Filler material The filler material of the weld’s procedure steps. A weld with several steps contributes each distinct filler material.
Welding process The welding process of the weld’s procedure steps, counted the same way.
Heat Welds that carry a heat number.
Component Welds that carry a component.
Filler/heat (raw) The weld’s raw step list, exactly as recorded.
Procedure The weld’s welding procedure.
Contractor The ISO’s fabrication contractor.
NDE contractor The ISO’s NDE contractor.

These reports rank and trend a project’s quality and production data. Run them from the Reports screen’s Catalog tab (category Analytics) or schedule them like any other report.

Defect Pareto analytics-defect-pareto RT/UT rejection reason codes ranked by how often they occur, with each code’s share and the running cumulative percentage. Optionally limited to an inspection-date range. Excel
Reject Rate Control Chart analytics-reject-rate-spc A table of monthly RT and UT control-chart (p-chart) values — inspections reviewed, rejects, reject rate, the centerline, and the 3-sigma limits — for plotting or trend review. Optionally limited to an inspection-date range. Excel
Welder Leaderboard analytics-welder-leaderboard Welders ranked by diameter-inch credit (a weld shared by two welders credits each half), with each welder’s reviewed and rejected RT/UT counts and reject percentage. Excel
Weld Inches Ledger analytics-weld-inches-detail One row per eligible weld with its earned, rework, and rejected diameter-inches; structural welds are counted in linear inches in their own separately labeled columns (the two are never added together). Excel
NDE Method Results analytics-nde-method-results One block per NDE method — UT pulse-echo, RT, PWHT, hardness, and PAUT/TOFD — stating which inspections it covers and how many have results recorded, have none, or could not be read; then the method’s figures (UT results and real defects, RT capture media, PWHT soak temperature and preheat ranges, hardness pass/fail/incomplete against the maximum allowed value, PAUT amplitude and depth ranges). Older UT results recorded by the previous system are counted on their own line. A sheet per method lists the inspections, and a Warnings sheet lists any inspection whose stored results could not be read. Optionally limited to an inspection-date range. Excel
Executive Brief executive-brief A Monday brief for project leads: progress and diameter inches, the reject and defect pulse (with how many rejections still await sign-off), notable exceptions (out-of-order NDE, invalid lot NDE, open repair gaps), and a list of the decisions they need. When it runs on a schedule it shows the change since the previous scheduled run; run on demand, it shows current figures only. PDF

Beyond the built-in reports above, a Corporate Administrator can define custom report entries in the Admin area — each carries a code, a display label, an optional description, and a display position, and can be marked active or inactive. Some entries are generated (system-provided); for those, only the label and description are editable, while the report itself is fixed. See the Admin overview for where these are managed.
