Record an inspection result

This guide covers the core inspector flow: recording the outcome of inspecting a weld so its status reflects reality.

  • You need the inspector role on the project.
  • Know the ISO and the weld number you’re recording a result for.
  1. Open the ISO that contains the weld. Welds are listed against their ISO with their current status.
  2. Select the weld you inspected.
  3. Choose the inspection outcome:
    • Accept — the weld passes. Its status becomes ACCEPTED.
    • Reject — the weld fails. Its status becomes REJECTED and it enters the repair workflow.
    • Repair — mark the weld for rework. Its status becomes REPAIR until the repair is inspected.
  4. Add any required details for the result (for example, the reason for a rejection).
  5. Save the result. The weld’s status updates immediately and the change is recorded for audit.
  • An accepted weld is eligible to roll up into its test package for pressure testing.
  • A rejected or repair weld stays in the workflow until a follow-up inspection accepts it.
  • Every status change is recorded, so the history of each weld is fully auditable.
