My settings
My settings (/settings) holds the preferences that belong to you personally, not to the
project — your time zone, whether MaxTrax looks light or dark, and how you’re notified.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”This page is self-service — no special role is needed, and nothing here is visible to or editable by anyone else.
Time zone
Section titled “Time zone”Choose a time zone from the list, or leave it unset to use your organization’s default. This controls how instants are displayed to you — audit events, a report’s “Generated” stamp, created/modified times — everywhere in the app. It does not affect calendar dates, like a weld’s or inspection’s recorded date, which are unaffected by time zone.
Changing it here updates on-screen formatting immediately. Reports and other devices pick up the change on your next sign-in — the resolved value is set when your session starts.
Select Clear my preference (organization default) to remove your personal override.
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”Choose how MaxTrax looks. The Appearance card offers three choices:
- Auto — follow whatever your device is set to. If your phone or computer switches to dark in the evening, MaxTrax switches with it, straight away, with no reload.
- Light — always light, whatever your device is set to.
- Dark — always dark, whatever your device is set to.
Your choice saves as soon as you pick it and follows your account, so signing in on a different computer or tablet gives you the same look. If the save doesn’t go through, the card tells you so and offers Retry — the control snaps back to your previous choice rather than showing one that didn’t stick.
You can also reach this from the account menu in the top-right corner: Appearance there shows which of the three you’re currently on and takes you straight to this card.
Notification preferences
Section titled “Notification preferences”Below the time zone, a Notifications card lists every event type you can be notified about, each with two independent toggles:
- Bell — shows the event on your notification bell.
- Email — sends you an email when it happens.
Make your changes and select Save. A tenant may designate certain events as always-on for the bell; those can’t be fully turned off here — that floor is enforced by the project, not this screen.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Change your password — the other self-service account control.
- Getting started — the overall app orientation.
- Working offline — how MaxTrax keeps you informed when you’re offline.
